Welcome to Hoosier Hills Career Center!!!

Selecting your courses is a big responsibility and you want to be certain you make all of the best decisions possible for your future.  We are here to help.  The Career Center programs are not for everyone, but we offer many more options than most students think.  So how do you know if the Career Center is the right place for you?  We have a few tools and sites to help you make that important decision.

Your first step in deciding if the Career Center is for you might be to take a Career Interest Survey.  There are several available on the web, below are just a few you may want to try:

The Princeton Review Career Quiz

ONet Online Skills Search

Career Info Net

Now that you have assessed your career interests it may be time to learn more about those careers that you found interesting.  The following sites will give you additional information about a variety of career fields including salary, projected growth, and information about the level of education needed to be successful in that career field.

Career One Stop

Now that you have a better idea of what careers you are interested in, it is time to see if the Career Center offers the courses you need to start your career journey.  Our Courses link will take you to the course clusters for our classes.  You may find that our course titles do not match up with your ultimate career goal.  Our course offerings are often just a starting point.  Many of our students go on to two and four year college programs in order to meet their career goals.  But while these students were attending the Career Center they were able to learn the vocabulary, and use the tools and equipment that are used in that occupation.  They were able to go on field trips and in many cases actually compete with other students that were also interested in that career field.  Students that met the standards were able to attend job shadow and internships as well as earn college credit for the work they did while in their Career Center Program.  College credit now means less money and less time in school, which all add up to another reason so many students appreciate their Career Center experience.

Do you still have some questions about the Career Center? You may want to visit our FAQ page.  Here you will be able to discover many of the answers to your questions.

Are you ready to make the Career Center part of your educational experience?
